WWE Officially Announces Signing of Japanese Female Wrestler to NXT

Today via their website, WWE has announced that they have signed another Japanese talent.  Kana (a/k/a Kanako Urai) has joined the roster officially.  She made a brief appearance on camera at the NXT Takeover: Brooklyn event, seated with Ric Flair and others.  Triple H commented on the signing by saying:

“We are very excited to have Kana join the NXT roster.  Her exciting in-ring style will make an immediate impact on the already impressive NXT women’s division.”

Kana also gave an interview to Sporting News regarding the decision to sign now.  She said that she has been in the business for ten years, and felt that she has accomplished almost everything there is to accomplish.  “I was looking for a new challenge and when the opportunity came up with WWE, the timing just felt right.”
