And The Winner Of The Smash Ballot Is…! + Even More Smash Bros. Info!

Well, the end of the Super Smash Bros. 4 content is finally upon us, so let’s not waste any time. First off, the winner of the Smash Ballot, where the fans voted for the final entrant in Smash Bros., is… … …BAYONETTA!

A little disappointed it wasn’t Commander Shepherd, but hey, better luck next game, I guess. And I’m very happy for all the Bayonetta fans, too (a few in particular come to mind, lol). I should also note that, being from a PlatinumGames title, her biggest attribute is her ability to chain combo attacks, so anyone who faces her in battle had better make sure not to get caught. But, lest you think that was all, don’t, because there was one other new entrant announced: Corrin, of the Fire Emblem Fates games, which will be coming to North America at around the same time as he (or she, depending on your choice) will be available for download.

In addition to covering the two newest fighters announced, Sakurai also talked a bit about how Cloud will work in the game. Also, much to my delight, it was revealed that, thanks to the deal with Square-Enix, one of the new Mii Fighter costumes that’ll be coming out is based on Geno from Super Mario RPG. There were a lot of other costumes presented, too, as well as discussions on the new stages, and an overall tallying of the playable characters, stages, tracks, costumes, and so on for Super Smash Bros. 4, so by all means, check out the full video.

And, with that, the final form for Super Smash Bros. 4 has been revealed. I hope everyone is satisfied with what we’ve gotten (which was a LOT, let’s be honest), and hey, here’s to Super Smash Bros. 5 in the future. Ja né!

MAJOR Smash Bros News!

…Just when you thought there was no one else that could surprise you by being in Super Smash Bros, LOOK AT WHO JUST GOT IN!

Now, let’s get a couple of points outta the way. Yes, Cloud has made appearances on Nintendo games before, in Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts re:coded, and (and I swear I’m not misspelling or making up this title) Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and its sequel, Curtain Call. No, we have not, at this time, learned if Cloud is the winner of the Smash Ballot or if that character is yet to be announced. We also don’t have a release date for Cloud in the game, but I don’t think we’ll have to wait long…not that SOME of us will wait. 😛

As for the rest of the Smash Bros related news, we know that there will be a special Smash Bros-focused edition of Nintendo Direct next month. Now, unless the next character to be revealed is Master Chief (which I sadly cannot see ever happening), chances are there’s more to this broadcast than just a single character being announced. However, if Cloud isn’t the winner of the Smash Ballot, it’s likely this is where that winner will be announced, and when the release date for Cloud and the Chocobo Mii Fighter gear will be made clear.

But yeah, that’s all for Smash Bros right now…at least until Maximilian returns from his quest for the Cloud release date. lol Lemme know what you guys think of this, if you think Cloud is the winner of the Smash Ballot, and what the news next month will be. Ja né!

The Smash Bros Fighter Ballot

So, I was sitting around one day when, all of sudden, N. Harmonik sent me the link to something called the Smash Bros Fighter Ballot. What is it? Well, basically, Nintendo is getting the fans to vote for an upcoming DLC character for Super Smash Bros 4. It’s a simple form you have to fill out giving the character’s name, what game they appeared in, and why you think they would be a good addition to the roster.

Personally, I voted for Commander Shepard from Mass Effect. Not only does the character have a wide array of weapons, equipment, and moves that could make for an interesting fighter in the series, but they also have a very large fan base (despite EA kinda fucking over the series a little with Mass Effect 3), not only in having the choice of being a man or a woman (I personally prefer FemShep, please don’t hate me, Mark Meer), but also for having same-sex options for love interests either way, making Commander Shepard a popular character for LGBT video game fans.

Who would you vote for? Click the link below to vote yourself. The poll is open until October 3rd, 2015, so you’ve got plenty of time. Also, be sure to comment below as to which character you voted for, as well as others you might be interested to see appear in this or future Smash Bros games. Ja né!

The Final Roster For Super Smash Bros. For The 3DS

So, because a few people in Japan have gotten the game a couple of days early and streamed footage on Twitch, we now have visual confirmation on the full roster for Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS. Now, keep in mind that they’ve allegedly already gone through and unlocked everyone, but that there’s always the possibility that Nintendo might decide to release additional fighters later on via downloadable content, so if your favourite fighter isn’t present, don’t freak out just yet, they may get added later. With that said, here are your Smash Bros. for Super Smash Bros for the-…Y’know what, I still hate that name, so I’m just gonna call it Super Smash Bros. 4.

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Rosalina & Luma, Bowser Jr., Wario, Mr. Game & Watch, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Link, Zelda, Sheik, Ganondorf, Toon Link, Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Pit, Palutena, Marth, Ike, Robin, Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Little Mac, Fox, Falco, Pikachu, Charizard, Lucario, Jigglypuff, Greninja, Duck Hunt Dog, R.O.B., Ness, Captain Falcon, Villager, Olimar, Wii Fit Trainer, Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, Lucina, Shulk, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Sonic, and Mii Fighter.
