Flareon – Redeemed At Long Last

…Yeah, we all know the joke: Flareon, the Fire-type physical offensive of the Eeveelutions, cannot learn Flare Blitz. In fact, for years now, Flareon has been turned down by many a Trainer due to being a physical attacking Fire-type Pokémon that cannot learn a physical Fire-type move with a base power higher than 65. You can see it everywhere.

And every Generation, I’d be like “Game Freak, let it learn Flare Blitz! It keeps getting rejected! It is probably the most rejected Eeveelution, solely because every Eeveelution is supposed to specialize in something, and Flareon really doesn’t since it can’t learn the moves to best suit its style!” So, what’s the point in all of this? Well, I was cruising through Serebii.net, looking at different move-pools for Pokémon in the new X & Y games, and I was looking at the different Eeveelutions. So, eventually, I decided to check Flareon’s, fully prepared to be disappointed…And then I heard Nightwish in my head over what I saw. 😀

Flareon is trying to learn Flare Blitz, MOTHA FUCKA! XD

Now, do I think this is a huge, game changing event for Pokémon? Obviously not. I’m just glad that Flareon finally has something awesome going for it. And usually, this is where I’d say comment below, see y’all, ja né, and so on, but you know? Screw it, this is too awesome not to end on THIS:

Why I Am Officially Divorcing The Pokémon Anime (WARNING – ANGRY RANT AHEAD)

…So, you may have noticed that I haven’t done a review of the Pokémon anime in a long time. It’s taken a long time to admit to this, but after watching Best Wishes with my friend N. Harmonik, and she can attest to how many times I’ve brought up what’s wrong with the anime as of late, and clearly seeing that no, Ash has NOT grown up in the new series, and no, he probably never will, and seeing that every season from now until whenever the show ends will likely be ‘second verse, same as the first’…I hate this show. I hate this show so much. It is everything that an anime should NEVER be: Characters do not grow, there is little to no story, and there is very little resolution to the characters’ journeys because, at the beginning of every new series, they hit the reset button. It’s not even really an anime, it’s a half-hour advertisement for the games, and when the Pokémon games have had better stories than the anime has, that’s a BAD thing.

If yer wondering what exactly it is that has broken the camel’s back, allow to explain. There is a movie that has come out recently that involves Mewtwo going up against Genesect. This was the movie I was actually really looking forward to, because this was the battle that seemed practically gift-wrapped to the writers: A Pokémon with a very similar back-story to Mewtwo, but with a severe type advantage. And when I saw that there was more than one of them, and they’d be going up against a Mega Evolved Mewtwo, my jaw dropped and I said “That’s gonna be AWESOME!”

Now, as my excitement wore down a little and I learned more about Mega Evolution, the question then was, “Well, how does Mewtwo Mega Evolve? In the games, that requires a Pokémon to be holding a Mega Stone, and to have a close enough a connection to a Trainer with a Keystone that they achieve this new evolved form.” So then I thought, “Well, the connection between Ash and Mewtwo is pretty strong, after their meetings in the first movie and in Mewtwo Returns, so maybe they find the stones and Mewtwo evolves that way?”…And then the prequel special happened, where it was revealed that Mewtwo just had the ability on its own to do this. Also, since the release of the movie, it has been revealed this is NOT the same Mewtwo. As a matter of fact, Mewtwo is actually voiced by a woman in this movie.

… … …Writers, animators, editors, whoever works on the movies and/or the anime. You had this AMAZING story just BEGGING to be written, where Mewtwo reaches that point where it knows it can trust humans, and upon doing so, discovers this whole new power that it never knew existed. You had this story that would’ve connected all the way back to the first movie and actually helped to make that raped-me-in-the-ass reset button ending WORK. But you didn’t, when it was easy, because you don’t care enough to do so, and if you don’t care, why the hell should the audience care? Why should I ever give a flying fuck about a show that never changes, never shows the characters grow, and never lets them enjoy any kind of achievement? And before ANYONE says Orange Islands or Battle Frontier, those stories and how those accomplishments played out were clearly tailored to let Ash win without actually becoming ANYTHING more, and then IMMEDIATELY, on both occasions, saw him get smacked back down by a guy he, by all rights, surpassed LONG AGO. And if your concern is that letting Ash grow up and become a Master might alienate your primary demographic, that being kids, might I recommend you read the manga and see how they handle it there.

Lemme bring up an alternative to this: Pokémon Origins. Now, the English dub isn’t out yet, and despite some fears of what they do with the English dub, I still plan to see it, but just from watching the four episodes in their original format, I can tell you that those four episodes are better than what we’ve gotten out of the past four seasons of the main anime. Now, it has the same curse as the anime has, in that it’s pretty much an advertisement for the games. Pretty sure that’s the sole reason for including Mega Charizard X. Where it’s different…well, first off, it’s for fans of the original games, so it’s clearly tailored towards a slightly older audience, while still being just tame enough that kids can watch it. Second, you can tell that the people who worked on it actually…what’s the word…? Oh yeah, gave a shit. They WANTED this to be good. Third, Red actually BEATS the Elite Four, becomes champ, and completes the PokéDex…well, the Kanto Regional PokéDex, anyway. He’s gonna be PISSED when he finds out there’s another hundred Pokémon just a little bit west of him. lol Oh, and while the animation is still good and keeps up with stuff you see nowadays, it isn’t SO bright and flashy that it gives me a headache, unlike THAT OTHER SHOW.

So yeah, sorry to disappoint, but I’m officially DONE with the Pokémon anime, at least how it is now. It sucks beyond redemption. It sucks beyond the ability to be fixed with the current team working it. I’m just DONE with it, and until something is done to fix it, which will not happen without anything short of a fucking miracle, that is my final word on the subject. Bottom line, if you want a great story involving the characters from the Pokémon games, read the manga, watch Pokémon Origins, hell, even some fanfics out there handle the characters better than the show does nowadays. In fact, I think I WILL go re-watch Pokémon Origins now, just for fun, and just ‘cuz I’m sick of complaining about the anime. Ja né!

No Further Pokémon X Journey Posts

…So yeah, I’ve decided to quit it with the Pokémon X Journey posts. I’ll still be doing my Twitter posts on some of the stuff I do, specifically the new PokéDex entries, but as far as the mock journal entries I was doing on here, those are done. There’s a few reasons why, but I’ll try to simplify them as best I can.

  1. It made playing Pokémon feel like a chore, and that’s NEVER a good thing.
  2. Too time-consuming. Took away from actually PLAYING the game and doing other stuff, like blog on other topics, chat with my friends, write my Birds of Prey fanfic, etc.
  3. My proofreader hasn’t been reading them since I’m ahead of her in the game, and offering her spoilers is like offering your head to a shark. lol

Anyway, I’ll still be giving a review of the game once I’ve completed it. Until then, it’s back to my usual blogging on here…which reminds me, tomorrow’s Wednesday, isn’t it? Which means it’ll be time to talk about…

What I Bought Today

My Pokémon X Journey: Day 2, Part 1 (WARNING – SPOILERS AHEAD)

Cutting this in half due to sheer length. lol

Calem on Route 22

It was early on the second day, before sunrise. Having some trouble sleeping, I decided to withdraw Vivillon, Pikachu, and Torchic from my PC and head back to Route 22 to try and catch some of the Pokémon I’d missed. I managed to capture a Litleo and a Bidoof before having to go back to town since I’d run out of Poké Balls. Along the way, I began to see the results of my training on my Pokémon, specifically Vivillon. I’d spent so much time on him specifically, trying to get him to evolve into what he is now, that his strength was much higher than the others. Still, I felt the need to get the rest of the team up to his level. After all, one should never depend on a single Pokémon to save them ALL THE TIME. Still, these were thoughts better dwelled upon in the morning, so I went back to bed.

Calem meeting Alexa

After getting up to officially start my day, I found myself face-to-face with Viola’s older sister, Alexa. She seemed interested in my skills, and thus handed me the new model for the Exp. Share, which gave every Pokémon not in battle 50% of the experience the one actually involved received. Combined with my training regiment, my team was now becoming MUCH stronger, though I suspected there was a bigger reason for it. Either way, though, I made my way to Route 4, also known as Parterre Way, and managed to catch a Budew, Ralts, Ledyba, and Flabébé. After battling a few more Trainers, and learning some new tricks on my roller blades, I ran into two of Professor Sycamore’s assistants. They gave me the TM 27, which I used to teach Fletchling the move Return, and told me how to get to the Professor’s lab.

Calem in Lumiose City

Following the assistants, I found myself in the most gorgeous city I’d ever seen: Lumiose City. Granted, I couldn’t explore much of it due to some sort of power outages, and seemingly every other store was a café, but it was still so grand. There was even a salon, where I was able to get my hair tinted orange, and a building that recorded a 10 second video for Trainers who might meet me online. Once all of that was taken care of, though, I made my way to Professor Augustine Sycamore’s lab…A fairly LARGE lab, to be honest. As I understand it, most Pokémon Professors tend to enjoy smaller labs in quainter towns. I guess Sycamore must really love the city life, and upon meeting him, he certainly seemed flamboyant enough to fit right in here. He admitted that he was only planning to enlist the other four for this mission, but upon hearing I was moving to Kalos with my mother (likely due to her fame as a Rhyhorn rider), he decided the best way to get me adjusted was to have me travel the region and see as many new sights and Pokémon as I could.

Soon enough, I was joined by Serena and Shauna. They stood watch as Sycamore challenged me to a battle, to test my skills. I was rather surprised to find that the Professor’s team consisted of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander, three Pokémon that, while part of the Kalos Regional PokéDex, were more commonly seen in Kanto. Still, even with his vastly superior knowledge of Pokémon, his team wasn’t nearly as experienced as mine was quickly becoming, and I was able to defeat him, with Torchic gaining enough experience to evolve into Combusken. After this, he offered the three of us one of the Kanto Pokémon. My gut was telling me Charmander, but since I already had a Fire-type, and Pinhead was pulling his weight as my Grass-type, I decided to go with Squirtle, the Water-type. I named him Michelangelo. He was carrying a strange stone, very similar to the one Combusken had. It was at this point, as Tierno and Trevor finally caught up with us, that Professor Sycamore told us that he wanted us to discover the secrets of something called ‘Mega Evolution’, something I’d never heard of, but was apparently tied to these stones.

Meeting Professor Sycamore

After we learned this, the group had a small pow-wow of sorts, and it was at this point I really started to understand and appreciate what made each of them so different. Tierno just wanted to dance and have fun with Pokémon, all the while growing closer to them. Trevor was intent on completing the PokéDex, thus completing his commitment to the Professor and achieving a great collection. Shauna desired to create lots of memories with Pokémon, memories that would last their whole lives. And Serena was committed to growing strong with her Pokémon and mastering Mega Evolution. Each had their own unique goals, and aside from their love of Pokémon, they couldn’t be any more different…and yet, they were all close friends, standing by each other and supporting one another…and me. I couldn’t help but feel closer to them as a result, and I wondered if that was why Professor Sycamore chose them.

Either way, I decided it might be best to follow up on the Professor’s suggestion and head toward Camphrier Town. As I was leaving the lab, though, I met a man named Lysandre, who apparently built the Holocaster, the device Trainers used to communicate over long distances…and yet, something about him rubbed me the wrong way. After speaking with him for a bit, Serena asked me to come with her to a nearby café, and it was there that I began to learn more about the man. Lysandre was there, speaking with a world famous movie star named Diantha, asking if she would prefer to stay beautiful like she was in her first film and keep making movies like that forever, but Diantha, like myself, seemed a bit disturbed by such a suggestion. After they left, Serena had an interesting proposition for me: She wanted to be my rival, so we could grow stronger together. How could I turn down such an offer?

Calem and Serena meet Diantha

Making my way to Route 5, or the Versant Road as it’s called, I found myself face-to-face with a Lucario. It seemed…interested in me. Soon enough, its trainer, a Gym Leader named Korrina, skated by, and suggested that Lucario seemed to like something about my Aura, a spiritual energy believed to be the essence of every living creature. Lucario are able to sense Aura, as well as practically weaponise their own, so I felt special that this Lucario seemed to like mine. After they left, I wound up battling a pair of twins, Faith and Joy, and their Pokémon, Plusle and Minun. It wasn’t a hard battle, and I found myself enjoying the style of Double Battles, after which, both Fletchling and Pinhead evolved. Fletchling evolved into Fletchinder, a Fire/Flying-type with wings that would burn you if you touched it without permission, and Pinhead went from being a Chespin to a Quilladin, becoming far stronger as a result. However, just as I was feeling good about that, and liking the idea of battling multiple Pokémon at once, I wandered into some tall grass, where I was confronted by a horde of five Scraggy! I only had time to call out a single Pokémon at a time, making this a 5-on-1 handicap battle! But, as luck would have it, Squirtle had learned Bubble, which hit multiple targets at once. Using this attack, I picked off three of my targets, before I was forced to switch to Fletchinder. Fletchinder took down the fourth Scraggy, leaving the leader open to be captured.

Having somehow survived that last encounter, I was feeling VERY lucky, and managed to keep that luck going, catching an Abra, Gulpin, Pancham, and Furfrou. After this, though, I took a look at my team, and noticed something bad: My team consisted of a Grass-type, a Fire/Flying-type, a Water-type, a Fire/Fighting-type, a Bug/Flying-type, and an Electric-type. Even though they were strong, too many types and their weaknesses were overlapping. I knew I’d have to start rotating Pokémon from here on out. It might slow training down a bit, but it was the only way to make sure my team was varied enough to compete with multiple sorts of opponents. As such, I made it a regular practise to return to the nearest Pokémon Centre often to switch team members in and out.

Trevor, Tierno, and Calem on Route 5

Returning to Route 5, I ran into Tierno and Trevor again, and found myself battling Tierno and his partner, a Corphish. It wasn’t too much of a challenge compared to other battles I’d had recently, but he held his own well. Afterwards, I battled a few roller bladers up the hill, and when it was over, Squirtle had grown strong enough to evolve into Wartortle. With that accomplishment saved in my PokéDex, I made my way to Camphrier Town, once famous for the long-neglected manor home of a noble family, where I had planned to end my day…Little did I know what lay ahead for me, and what was left for me in the day…

Part 2 of Day 2 will be written in the morning. Right now, it’s late, and I’m tired. I’ll write Part 2 when I get up, and hopefully Part 3 won’t be nearly as long. Ja né!

My Pokémon X Journey: Day 1 (WARNING – SPOILERS AHEAD)

Okay, so I thought about how best to do this, so I’m gonna type it up as sort of a journal, like I’m actually the person in the game, so bare with me as I do this. lol

Calem, the male protagonist

I began my journey after having just moved in to Vaniville Town. I awoke to the sensation of my mother’s Fletchling using its patented Peck on my ass. Not cool. After getting up and changing after my pyjamas (after my mother nagged me into going back up to my room and doing so, that is), I went outside to check on Mom’s Rhyhorn, the lazy bum, when I was confronted by my new neighbours, a pair of girls. They told me the Professor of this region, Augustine Sycamore, had a job for me. He wanted me to complete the Kalos PokéDex by registering every known Pokémon in the Kalos Region in it, which meant capturing every last one. A difficult task, but not impossible, as a pair of boys travelling with them had in their possession a trio of Pokémon for beginning Trainers like myself and the two girls. I chose the Chespin, feeling a connection to the Bashful little guy. I named him Pinhead, as he’s also somewhat of a clown.

Your new friends/rivals, Serena and Shauna

After defeating one of the girls, the peppy one named Shauna, in a Pokémon battle, I told my mother what was going on, and was somewhat disturbed when she thought the letter from Professor Sycamore explaining the matter was some sort of love letter…Ew, what would Dad think? o.O At any rate, she saw me off on my journey with some extra gear, and even Rhyhorn managed to take some time out of his busy schedule of sleeping to see off the boy he watched be born in front of his eyes. I joke, but I know how old he is and how much it must have meant to him to see me leave on a journey.

Before I met up with my other newfound ‘friends’ in Santalune Forest, I decided to try to catch as many Pokémon as I could find on Route 2, AKA the Avance Trail. While I didn’t find them all, I did manage to catch enough to fill my team, with Scatterbug, Fletchling, Pidgey, Weedle, and Bunnelby joining Pinhead, who only grew stronger with each battle. Content with that, and defeating a Trainer who owned a Zigzagoon, I entered the forest. Shauna decided to accompany me along the way…I think she MAY be smitten with me, but I’m not sure. It’s either that or she’s just INCREDIBLY friendly. Either way, I battled many more Trainers and captured three more Pokémon: Caterpie, Pansage, and Pikachu. Pikachu was the most trouble, but that mainly due to my own mistake, as I had foolishly tried to paralyse it with Scatterbug’s Stun Spore, having forgotten that recent studies showed that Electric-type Pokémon were becoming immune to paralysis. This single mistake nearly cost me greatly, but I pulled through.

Serena, Shauna, Calem, Tierno, and Trevor in Santalune Forest

By the end, our group of five started to split a bit. Shauna and the boys, Trevor and Tierno, remained behind to catch the remaining Pokémon in the area. The other girl, Serena, ran ahead to challenge the Gym Leader in Santalune City. After a little deliberation, I decided to follow after her, all the while battling Trainers along Route 3, AKA the Ouvert Way. By the time I reached Santalune City, however, I’d long since lost sight of her. Still, my Pokémon were becoming stronger, and challenging a Gym didn’t seem like a bad idea. Still, I needed a bit more training, so I battled more while trying to fill the PokéDex. After a while, my Scatterbug evolved into Spewpa, and I found a trainer in Santalune City willing to trade their Farfetch’d for my Bunnelby. Thankfully, we hadn’t really had much chance to connect, so he was fine with it.

While in Santalune City, I ran into Tierno, who showed me the Pokémon Centre and explaining the updates to the facility. I logged onto the PC to check on my Pokémon in storage, and discovered that the Pikachu I had captured was holding a Light Ball. Knowing this meant it had power beyond that of the average Pikachu, I decided to make it part of my team, while also depositing Pidgey and Weedle. After that, I noticed a special offer being held over Mystery Gift. Interested, I signed in, and within minutes, I found myself the proud owner of a Torchic, all the way from Hoenn. Of course, since it wasn’t native to Kalos, there was no page for it in the PokéDex, but I was alright with that. Also, it was holding a strange stone. I wasn’t sure what it did, but it seemed like it belonged with the little guy, so I let him keep it. After that, I went next door to the Boutique to get a change of clothes, battled a Trainer for a free pair of roller blades (that I’m STILL having trouble controlling), and headed out to Route 22, AKA Détournet Way.

Calem in Santalune City

On Route 22, I once again found many Trainers to battle. One of them had a Flabébé, one of the new Fairy-type Pokémon. I learned the hard way in that battle not to underestimate Faeries. Not that they’re insanely powerful, just strong enough that they will defeat you with ease if you take them lightly. I also managed to catch my first Fairy-type, an Azurill, as well as a Psyduck, before I took notice of the entrance to Victory Road, the last obstacle before the Pokémon League. However, to enter, one needs to defeat 8 Gym Leaders and win their badges as proof, so no entry for me. With no other path available to me for the moment, I decided to enter the Santalune City Gym, defeating the Gym Leader’s lieutenants along the way, until my Spewpa at least evolved into a Vivillon of the Polar Form.

Viola, the Santalune City Gym Leader

To complete my day, I confronted the Gym Leader: A young photographer by the name of Viola. She had two Pokémon: A Surskit and a Vivillon. Before challenging her, however, I decided to go back to the Pokémon Centre, depositing all but two of my Pokémon, since I feel it’s cheap to earn a badge with a high numbers advantage. I went in with just Fletchling and Pinhead. Despite being a Chespin and thus vulnerable to Bug-types, I sent Pinhead out first, as he had learned a move through his training that was super effective against her team: Rollout, a Rock-type move that became stronger the more he rolled with it. Naturally, starting the battle and using it right away was the best use of it possible, which in turn won me the battle, the Bug Badge, and a TM to boot. Overall, a great way to cap off my first day on my Pokémon journey.

Current PokéDex Completion
30 Pokémon seen, 14 Pokémon obtained

…So, hope you enjoyed that, ‘cuz I’m gonna be doing it every day from now until I beat the Pokémon League. lol Ja né!

My 6 Favourite New Pokémon Revealed Thus Far

…You watch, I’ll post this, and then immediately after, they’ll reveal a new Pokémon. lol Anyway, only criteria is that they are Generation VI Pokémon, are not Mega evolutions (I’ll get to them later), and only one per family line (so no evolutions/pre-evolutions of ones I already picked). Also, keep in mind that my reasoning changes from Pokémon to Pokémon, and I don’t know squat about what their stats are, so there could be changes to my favourites as time goes by. So, let’s start with…

#1 – Chespin, the Spiny Nut Pokémon

Seriously, this little guy (or gal) is too cute for words. Also, several people have noticed that the Kalos Region starters seem to be following a sort of Warrior/Wizard/Rogue theme, with Chespin falling under the Warrior category, and that suits me just fine. After all, in the early days of your journey, especially in a brand new region, you want a heavy hitter. And what’s more awesome a starter than one that’s über cute AND kicks the snot outta the opposition?

#2 – Tyrunt, the Royal Heir Pokémon

…Play it again. XD

Yeah, I know I’m silly, but c’mon, people have wanted a frigging T-Rex for a Fossil Pokémon since the very beginning! And of all the Pokémon that have attacked primarily by taking a bite outta their opponent, Tyrunt may be the most potent with its Strong Jaw Ability.

#3 – Sylveon, the Intertwining Pokémon

Of the new Fairy-types revealed, Sylveon is probably the most awesome. Like I said before, though, I have no idea what the stats for any of these new Pokémon are, so while I can assume Sylveon’s base total is the same as the other Eeveelutions, I don’t know what role it plays otherwise in comparison to the others. Either way, though, I suspect that Sylveon will be a popular Pokémon among Trainers in the Kalos Region.

#4 – Talonflame, the Scorching Pokémon

Talonflame breaks tradition by having the first Normal/Flying-type you meet in the game evolve into something different. And frankly, I couldn’t be happier. And given that Fairy-types don’t work all that great against Fire-types, and given the new Sky Battles in Pokémon X and Y, I would imagine it’ll find its way onto many a team. Really, the problem I have with it is that, since I don’t like doubling up on types for my team, now I’m forced to choose between it and the next one on my list…

#5 – Pyroar, the Royal Pokémon

Holy crap, is this thing awesome. I may decide to simply rotate between Pyroar and Talonflame where necessary, since they’re both so awesome. It’ll be a pain in the ass, but it could prove to be worth it. The one problem I have with it is that its Abilites seem kinda situational as far as their usefulness is concerned. Then again, that could just be me and my tastes. I like multi-purpose Abilities, or Abilities that can work in lots of scenarios.

#6 – Skrelp, the Mock Kelp Pokémon

The only Poison-type revealed so far, Skrelp looks pretty cool, and I’ve known from the start that if Poison-types turned out to be super effective against Fairy-types (and they are, yay) that I would need to get ahold of one. So, yeah, I guess I’m gonna need to trade for one, since I’m getting Pokémon X Version, and it’s exclusive to Pokémon Y Version, and dang it, can I just say how much easier it is to trade with friends now that cords are a thing of the past? I HATED those as a kid. And I don’t wanna hear anyone complain about load times or not getting the infrared link to work right away either…but that’s a rant for another day. lol

Anyway, if this list has proven anything, it’s that adding the Fairy-type is making a profound shake-up as far as battle strategies goes. In retrospect, it’s actually pretty easy to see why they waited so long to add a new type. One new type, and EVERYTHING changes. Poison and Fire are suddenly more useful. Dragon is more vulnerable than it’s ever been. Spiritomb and Sableye are vulnerable for the first time. That’s all from ONE type.

But yeah, those are my 6 Favourite New Pokémon. Will they all be on my team? Hard to say. Will depend on what comes to pass. I expect many more new Pokémon to be unveiled in the new games, and I suspect that Skrelp and Mother F’ing Tyrunt (and yes, that’s what I consider to be his full name, lol) to get evolutions. But, for now, lemme know what you think of my list, what your favourite new Pokémon are, and we’ll see what comes to pass as we are now less than one month until release. Ja né!

New Pokémon Revealed: Pyroar – It’s Evaluating Time!

So, another new Pokémon has been revealed…That didn’t take long. lol Also, plenty of info is available right from the get-go, so let’s go ahead and check it out! Here’s Pyroar!

…Yeah, I know, not much to see from the trailer, but nonetheless…

It’s Ruining-The-Mental-Image-You-Perverts-Have-Of-Elesa-Forever Evaluating Time! ROFL

First off, let’s get a look at its artwork…

Awesome. Second, LOVE the name. Something about it just sounds awesome. Anyway, from what we know, Pyroar is the evolved form of another of the Kalos Region Pokémon, Litleo, and shares its typing of Fire/Normal. Not sure how it evolves yet. The aptly named ‘Royal Pokémon’ can have either the Abilities Unnerve or Rivalry. Thus far, its only known moves are Flamethrower, Take Down, Work Up, Headbutt, Echoed Voice, and the new move Litleo demonstrated, Noble Roar, which decreases the opponent’s Attack and Special Attack. Still, it looks awesome and has some cool tricks, so I suspect to see plenty of Trainers with it on their teams…Though now, I’m stuck as to which is the most awesometastic: Talonflame or Pyroar. lol

Lemme know what you think of Pyroar, and we’ll see what other kinds of new Pokémon are revealed as we are now at exactly one month until the release date of Pokémon X & Y. Ja né!
