Batman #44 – review

It's a Comic Book World

Batman #44 – A Simple Case

I have to admit, this wasn’t what I was expecting this week.  Rather than moving forward with the current storyline this book goes back in time to Post-Zero Year.  Bruce Wayne is finding his feet as Batman.  The book is dark and heavy but is beautifully written and the art work fits perfectly with the subject matter.  It’s a serious comment on today’s world and stands alone but also complements the current Batman story arc.   Batman struggles with the world around him and his possible role in adding to its problems.  I love this issue and will be reading it more than once.  Outstanding.
